A Brazilian composer-researcher, Sérgio Rodrigo has developed a body of work spanning instrumental writing, electronics and improvisation. With a doctorate in arts from the University of Strasbourg (2025), he explores how the absences produced by colonial history, among them the erasure of African and Indigenous matrices in Brazilian culture, can become compositional forces.
